INVESTING IN INDEPENDENT FILM

Failing Jean, a thriller

One of our projects is the production of a motion picture based upon a certain script currently entitled “Failing Jean” that is slated for world-wide theatrical release along with release to all other ancillary markets. For a summarized story of the script, please visit the synopsis section of our site or click here.

*** Investing in any type of motion picture is considered by many to be a risky financial endeavor. However, as with most financial schemes with high risk, when a project is successful, the return can be among the highest of any return on investment (“ROI”). ***

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

Investing in independent films is often considered to be too risky for most investors. They often point to failures, but don’t fully appreciate that those projects that are successful have far higher than the average rates of returns as compared to other investments with similar risk. What is key in this industry is to invest in projects where the production team has the skills and experience to make the right decisions to produce a winner.

A study by Paul Kagan and Associates found that one out of twenty pictures garnered a profit and, that profit was enough to offset the losses incurred by the others. The question is which is that one picture? Successful movies are always made of a number of jigsaw puzzles that fit together to make a picture that is mostly right instead of mostly wrong. Sometimes, a seemingly random decision like casting Marlon Brandon instead of Ernest Borgnine in a picture like The Godfather can make the difference between a successful movie and a flop. A winning script and the people developing it are always key elements of success.

Our producers have relationships with talent agencies, casting directors, entertainment law firms and an array of actors and directors who can add considerable value to the packaging of each of our projects. We possess the casting piece of the puzzle.

At Left to Right Productions we currently have six projects under various stages of development. We possess the diversification piece of the puzzle.

To date, Left to Right Productions has produced three short live action films and two stage plays – all within production time and budget. Along the way, we formed and sustain excellent relationships with production and post-production service and facility companies within the filmmaking community. We possess the production piece of the puzzle.

Our team includes experienced producers who have relationships with companies that offer both domestic and international channels of distribution. We possess the distribution piece of the puzzle.

We have an ongoing professional relationship with award winning writer, Marios Stilianakis; a talented and diversified screenwriter who wrote the script “Failing Jean.” Left to Right Productions is the legal option holder of said script. We possess the legal rights piece of the puzzle.

“Failing Jean” was written to capitalize on a most efficient combination: a thrilling story, financial frugality, most popular genre. We possess the high value for investment piece of the puzzle.

“Failing Jean” is a high energy thriller/horror film with strokes of romantic and comedic play: a winning formula for the target audience currently representing over one third of domestic and international movie ticket sales*. We possess the popular demand piece of the puzzle.

“Failing Jean” is set up for at least one sequel. We possess the continued financial stream piece of the puzzle.
